Comparing the AIM Solar Panel to other Solar Thermal Panels

  • The panels have the broadest possible light absorbing spectrum.  High frequency absorption is near the ultra violet frequency and low frequency absorption in at far infrared wavelengths.  Absorption is limited only by the spectral range of the glass.
  • The panels operate at very high efficiency.  The panel operates at approximately 95% efficiency; that is, it collects and changes into heat about 95% of the Sun’s photons.  When installed as part of a complete water heating system, typical overall water heating efficiency is approximately 85%.  (Details are available on request.)
  • The Panels are fabricated from environmentally benign recyclable materials.  There is no plastic and no expensive copper pipe.
  • ASPs are manufactured to perform over an indefinite lifetime with minor repairs to joints and surface material.
  • ASPs are designed for on-site service by the owner or a field technician for repairs or updates to the heat absorbing coating, broken glass, gasket or seal.
